今天上午9时54分，从北京大兴机场起飞的JD5323次航班顺利降落在湘西边城机场，标志着湘西边城机场正式通航。首批游客“空降”湘西州。
At 9:54 am, today, JD5323 departing from Beijing Daxing Airport landed in Xiangxi Biancheng Airport, marking the opening of Xiangxi Biancheng Airport. The first tourists will land in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.
湘西边城机场距花垣县城10公里，距吉首市中心城区约30公里，为4C级国内旅游支线机场。机场占地235公顷，总投资28.48亿元，航站楼面积1.1万平方米，飞行区跑道长2600米、宽45米，停机位5个，可起降波音738和空客A321等机型，设计目标年均旅客吞吐量30万人次、货邮吞吐量450吨。截至目前，湘西边城机场已开通往返北京大兴机场和广州白云机场的航线。
About 10 kilometers from Huayuan County, and 30 kilometers from the center of Jishou City, Xiangxi Biancheng Airport is a regional civil airport with the grade index of 4C in flight area. The airport covers 235 hectares, with a total investment of 2.848 billion CNY. Its terminal building covers 11,000 square meters, and the runway is 2,600 meters long and 45 meters wide, with five aircraft stands. It can handle landings and takeoffs of various aircraft types, such as Boeing 738 and Airbus A321. It was designed with an annual capacity of 300,000 passenger trips and 450 tons of cargos. So far, it has opened two air routes, including the flights to and from Beijing Daxing Airport, and Guangzhou Baiyun Airport.
从今天起，湘西州开启航空时代。
